On behalf of the residents of the west side of Madison, the Board of Directors of the Midvale Heights Community Association thanks and commends the various crews and individuals who worked so diligently to restore traffic flow, utilities and public safety in the aftermath of the June 23, 2004 tornado. Immediately after the storm, throughout the night, and over the following days, men and women from various City of Madison departments, from companies including Hooper Corporation, SBC Ameritec, Charter Communication, MG&E; and many others, performed vital services with remarkable speed, competence and courtesy. We hereby express our appreciation to those all workers who were so visible after the storm, as well as to those managers and other workers behind the scenes who coordinated and facilitated their efforts. Your hard work, as well as the gratitude of our neighbors for it, are be among the things that make us proud to live in Madison. Midvale Heights Community Association
